Arteriors, a global leader in furniture, lighting and decor, is known for introducing hundreds of beautiful new products each year at High Point Market, the largest home furnishings industry trade show in the world. However, this all-important trade event was canceled for spring 2020, hosted at a limited capacity in fall 2020, and postponed in 2021 until June.

Sharp knew that for the Arteriors spring 2021 collection, we’d need to develop a creative and engaging opportunity for editors to experience the material without seeing it in-person at Market. This was particularly important because Arteriors had partnered with leading design and architecture firm Workshop/APD to launch a debut collection as part of the brand’s guest designer series. To maximize buzz around the launch, we embarked on a multi-pronged approach that kicked off six months in advance.

Starting five months out from the launch, Sharp worked to land high impact print placements timed to the collection reveal. Closer to time, our team shifted pitching efforts towards securing digital feature stories slated to run the day of the launch.

To provide top editors a compelling experience, Sharp invited media to 1x1 virtual appointments where they had the chance to hear directly from the Principals of Workshop/APD about their design process for the guest designer line and were able to ask questions and engage with the presentation in real time. These virtual appointments have had an overwhelmingly positive response from the media. We secured appointments with a total of 24 top tier media at leading outlets such as T: The New York Times Magazine, Architectural Digest, ELLE Decor and Town & Country.

Since the launch in March, Sharp has secured over 107 million impressions in collection coverage. Top placements to-date include Architectural Digest (April print issue), Galerie (digital feature story) and Design Milk (digital feature story).

To sustain momentum, Sharp also secured opportunities for the Workshop/APD Principals to speak to the collection through a variety of programs, including The New York Design Center’s virtual series Cocktails & Conversations in April, LEGENDS LCDQ in May, and the High Point panel series for June Market. Keep an eye out for more to come from this exciting collaboration!
