Going Dutch: Launching a global art brand in New York
When TEFAF Maastricht, the venerable art fair, widely regarded as the world’s finest, embarked on a New York satellite, they needed a strategic agency with deep ties to the art, design, shelter, and lifestyle media to help them compete.
TEFAF engaged Sharp to develop a holistic launch and sustain plan, integrating PR, social media, influencer Marketing and special events. Entering our fourth year, the partnership has evolved from a buzz-worthy media campaign into an extensive media relations news engine, influencer management, and social media content creation for the two TEFAF New York Fairs, as well as media and influencer relations for its flagship fair in Maastricht, Netherlands.
The Sharp team has built meaningful relationships with art world influencers who return season after season to document the fair, and who routinely collaborate with us for unique content creation opportunities and private tours and events.
We leverage our deep media relationships across all lifestyle categories: arts, culture, architecture, interior design, luxury lifestyle, food/wine, philanthropy, and more.
We launched TEFAF’s instagram presence in New York and have since built creative content series to bring the community closer to the material, expertise, and experience of the fair.
Over the four years, The Sharp team secured more than 1290 stories and 4.4 billion media impressions with features in top-tier outlets like AD, Elle Decor, Vogue, W, Town & Country, The New Yorker, Robb Report, Departures, Bloomberg, Forbes, and many more. On social media, The Sharp Team has continued to build a rigorous program since Fall 2016, resulting in a 5x increase in engagement rate and 30k+ growth in followers since kickoff.
