Sharp at KBIS 2015

Last week Sharp jet-set to Las Vegas to join some of our great home and design clients at one of the most important Kitchen & Bath events of the year; the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show. KBIS continues to grow year over year, with over 500 exhibitors and a verified 5% growth in attendance this year, according to the organization, and the impact of the show is extensive within the industry.

Our teams on the ground helped facilitate everything from media visits in our client booths to live social media content creation, to event production management.

Here’s a look at some of the activities from KBIS 2015:

Cosentino

Silestone Trendspotters: Influencer Series Launch

Over the course of 2014/2015, Sharp facilitated a designer influencer program that brought together a select group of interior design experts to work hand-in-hand with the product development team at Cosentino to create a gorgeous collection of prototype colors, the Silestone Influencer Series. During KBIS, the Trendspotters came together to reveal the new collection in-booth and as a part of several events over the course of the show.

Dekton: Partnership in action

Partnerships were a strong way to showcase Dekton in this year’s Cosentino booth. Dekton, a technologically advanced surfacing product that’s well suited for both indoor and outdoor applications, was showcased in two vignettes that highlighted its unique properties.

The first vignette, and the subject of a visit from Blog Tour Vegas, was a collaboration with Poggenpohl and Porsche Design. Multiple Dekton finishes were used to illustrate the gorgeous design aesthetics achievable with Dekton.

The second vignette was created in partnership with Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens and Coyote Outdoor, both premier products for outdoor kitchen design. This partnership follows an announcement in 2014 that Brown Jordan will specify Dekton as part of its countertop selection process in strategic alliance with the brand.

NKBA University

Over the last year, the Sharp team worked with  The NKBA to create a brand new professional award competition to promote NKBA University, NKBA’s innovative new approach to learning and professional development

The NKBA U Professional of the Year competition culminated in a live Final round at NKBA’s Center Stage during the show. The Finalists each had a chance to speak about their dedication to ongoing education and how NKBA U courses are helping to propel their careers in a variety of ways, from sales to customer service.  Congratulations go out to our inaugural winner, Rhonda Knoche, who received a trip to visit the facilities of all three sponsors: Cosentino in Almeria, Spain; GE Monogram in Louisville, KY; and Kohler in Kohler, WI.

adorne by Legrand 

Another one of our stylish clients, adorne by Legrand, created a kitchen that featured their LED Under-Cabinet Lighting System, receiving rave reviews for its customization and ability to declutter the kitchen, raising tablets, chargers, speakers and more off of the countertop. BTW – those countertops look awfully familiar. Cosentino perchance?
