When you get right down to it, women are simply different from men. Nowhere is this better understood than at The Women’s Health Initiatives at Mount Sinai, where a top-ranked faculty in 32 departments and 16 institutes focus on the promotion of health, safety and quality of life across the entire spectrum of a woman’s life. Our public relations and special events groups work to raise awareness regarding the risk, symptoms and treatment of diseases that acutely affect a woman’s health and life, especially with regard to heart disease. A combination of opinion-leading press outreach and a very high-profile fashion show fundraiser is on tap to make Fall 2011 a monumental year for women’s health.
