Allium tricoccum, otherwise known as the wild leek, spring onion, wild garlic and ramp, creates quite a stir in the Hudson Valley come spring. It’s such that we were engaged on a pro-bono level to promote via public relations and a special event, the First Annual Ramp Festival in Hudson, NY. We convinced top chefs and restaurants from New York City to Saratoga to get involved in creating original dishes, which employed this unique leek as a primary ingredient. The event garnered quite a crowd of food enthusiasts and NYC day-trippers, not to mention more coverage than they bargained for.
