ART DIRECTOR

We are seeking a local freelance Art Director with 5-10 years Agency experience in creating brand-advertising campaigns.

Knowledge of opinion leading, affluent and sophisticated audiences (see our Client List) is preferred. If nothing there, show us some very
relevant experience.

Art Director will work with Agency Creative Director, Graphic Designers and Copywriter to develop advertising campaigns primarily for online and print
media, although we expect ideas that have ability and strength to be translated/integrated across all media and marketing disciplines as needed.

Strategy and creativity are paramount, as is a sense of humor and willingness to be a part of our team and growing Agency. Check egos at the door,
in fact don't even bring them to our door.

We expect to see very visual portfolio demonstrating creative vision, simple use of imagery and refined sense of typography.

COPYWRITER

We are looking for a local freelance copywriter with 5 -10 years experience in creating brand campaigns in both traditional and online advertising.

Knowledge and expertise in reaching opinion leading, affluent and sophisticated audiences is key, as is any experience in Continuing Education (i.e., post graduate degree), as well as Arts and Culture categories.

Copywriter will collaborate with Agency Creative Director and work with team of Art Directors and Graphic Designers to create campaigns that generate awareness, drive qualified leads and build brands. Both strategy and creativity are paramount with the end result being that the big idea that can be
translated across any discipline.

Work will generally be online (banners, rich media, widgets etc.) and print focused. Some video and website writing may be needed and
knowledge/experience is a real plus. Need to craft killer headlines and taglines as well as write long and short-form copy.

Please be advised there is no place for egos or tortured artists/writers. We do award winning, exceptional, strategically grounded work for Clients
delivering desired results. Old school, you might say, with new school adaptations. Helps to have a vivid imagination and really good sense of humor.

INTERNSHIPS

The ideal intern for Sharp Communications is a self-motivated, creative, organized individual. A great interest in public relations and advertising will make
the experience more relevant and enjoyable. Previous internships a plus but not necessary.

Interns at Sharp work on a wide variety of projects, including database development, press kit development, media relations and special events planning.
They will learn how to compose press releases, biographies, fact sheets, and overviews, recognizing their standard formats and language. They will also
learn the key principles of writing and editing copy and selecting artwork for print advertisements and websites. Interns are involved in creative meetings
and brainstorm sessions as part of their training. Additionally, there is some limited administrative work. This is a chance for someone interested in public
relations, advertising and design to have some real hands-on experience in the industry. Interns are closely supervised by senior account executives,
who give them weekly assessments of their performance, and by Sharps managing director, who meets with them bi-weekly to ensure that they are
developing key communication skill sets.
